1. Type Connection
Type Connections is a type matching game that will give you a general feel for font matching rather than helping you match specific fonts, but it’s still an excellent resource for learning and understanding general principles of pairing fonts. If you want to have flawless font pairings to compliment your designs then learning to spot correct combinations is critical.
2. Font Pair
Font pair is a resource for pairing Google fonts it has a more specific breakdown than what you would find on Google fonts to make it a little easier to narrow down exactly what you want. Since they’re all Google fonts, they are free for commercial use.
3. Typespiration
Typespiration is an excellent resource for coders but also for font pairing inspiration for noncoders as well. Because it gives visual examples and color palette recommendations if you need them these font pairing examples make it so much easier to narrow down the look you’re going for or just copy the exact font pairing from the samples. All of these fonts are google fonts so they’re open license and can be used commercially.

5. Fonts in Use
Fonts in Use is another website with lots of visual inspiration for typography use and pairing. You’ll find tons of flawless font pairing examples in a variety of contexts from book covers and posters to web design and social media.
The best thing about Fonts in Use is the way they’ve categorized font usage. Looking at specific mediums will help you get inspired more quickly because you don’t have to scroll through pages of mediums you’re not interested in using. The font pairing examples are separated into industry, format, and typeface.
6. Typewolf
Typewolf features different typography pairings every day to help inspire you in your graphics. Typewolf.com is more than an inspiration site. It’s loaded with guides and resources to help you out with your typography.
7. Google Fonts
Google Fonts is my go-to place for font pairings only because every other site uses the Google Fonts vast database. If you want a one-stop shop for flawless typography with commercial use rights for free, Google fonts website is the place to go.
The site is super convenient because you can search for individual fonts, get font pairing recommendations and see examples of what your pairings will look like together with a mouse click.
Google Fonts also gives you what the loading time of the fonts you chose will be on your site. This feature is handy if you’re picking fonts for your website.
You can download all the fonts directly from the Google Fonts website. Google Fonts is a one-stop resource for not only pairing but also web codes and downloading fonts directly.
There is one downside to Google fonts in that there are so many fonts it can take up a lot of time and make it difficult to settle on one or two fonts. Even so, with the other resources we’ve gone over, you can narrow down your search significantly.
If you would like to revisit any of these websites for inspiration in the future download the interactive PDF to keep these resource links at your fingertips.
