Kaleidoscope Effect Photoshop Tutorial

In this Kaleidoscope Effect photoshop tutorial, I’ll show you two ways to create a fractal art style Kaleidoscope effect using just an image. This process is great for making interesting photography effects like geometric and abstract art. Also, learn a bonus technique for creating abstract geometric mandalas using filters.

Manual Kaleidoscope Effect

In the first part of the Kaleidoscope effect Photoshop tutorial, I’ll show you how to create this effect manually with just an image and the transform tool. This method will give you a stunning and bright outcome.

Kaleidoscope Effect Photoshop Filters

Next, I’ll show you how to get a similar effect using the Polar coordinates filter with a specific photo set up to make the kaleidoscope effect more obvious.

Abstract & Geometric Patterns

Finally, I’ll show you how to take this a little further by creating geometric patterns that look stunning. This will give you something that is very similar to fractal and abstract art effects.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON SOFTWARE AND TOOLS:

To get the same effect I achieved in some videos you will need a drawing tablet. You can get some inexpensive tablets. These are the two that I personally own, both are very good drawing tablets.
