Jewelry brushes in Photoshop are fairly easy to make. However, the process for each of these is very different. Still, these types of brushes are typically created and combined together to make more sophisticated jewelry brushes. That’s why I decided to group these into one two step jewelry brushes Photoshop tutorial.

Jewelry Brushes Photoshop Tutorial Part One – Gemstones & Diamonds

In part one of this tutorial, you will learn how to make gemstone brushes. I will primarily use images to get a realistic diamond and gemstone look. We will take advantage of how Photoshop brushes react to light and dark. The transparency created helps to make a sparkling diamond style. Photoshop brushes react differently to varying degrees of gradation. Gradation will help to create a very realistic gemstone Photoshop brush.

Jewelry Brushes Photoshop Tutorial Part Two – Chains and Links

In part two of this jewelry brushes Photoshop tutorial, I’ll show you how to create chain brushes. The brush settings for chains is very straight forward and simple. It’s easy but the intricate detail you can get by layering shapes will give you amazing results. I make chain brushes mostly with shapes for simple brushes. For more complicated brushes, you can layer shapes to get a delicate chain effect.

Once you know how to make both gemstones and chains, you can combine these two elements to get very intricate and detailed jewelry brushes! I’m excited to share this jewelry brushes in Photoshop tutorial with you, enjoy!
