7 Cool Fonts That Will Make Your Posts Look Outstanding

Hey there, welcome to this post all about cool fonts. Focusing on seven cool text fonts, you can use to create outstanding posts for your blog and social media design.

What makes these cool fonts, well…cool?

I am a typography fanatic. I’ve explained before that all fonts have a specific personality to them in other posts. Cool fonts are those that just don’t care.

These fonts don’t follow the rules of clean lines and sleek curvature. Elements such as clean lines can make a font beautiful and well designed. Even so, cool fonts do all of that without the rules.

Cool fonts, in my opinion, have a few things in common.

1. First, the significant presence of careless strokes. Sweeping lines that give no respect to line height, let alone stay within the lines. Cool fonts stray way outside the limiting boundaries of line spacing.
2. Second, there is an artistic mood that these fonts bring with them. You can feel the attitude in them.
3. Third, the order is secondary. If order it’s present at all it’s not a priority with cool fonts. These fonts go by their own rules or make them up as they go along. They identify with font categories but stretch traditional definitions.

The Best Categories to Find Cool Fonts

Cool fonts, I’ve found are mostly found in the display, decorative font categories or the script category. In the script category, the signature fonts are the most likely to bend or even break the rules. Signature fonts are meant to look handwritten and distinct, so it’s necessary to stand out.

Alternatively, decorative and display fonts are created to be bold, impactful and command attention. Any font that can do all of that is going to be an excellent font for your design work. Now that you know how I chose these fonts, let’s get on with the fonts!

1. Mindfully

First up is the Mindfully font. Mindfully is a signature font from designer Sinikka Li. This font is a calligraphy script font that takes its strokes way beyond traditional calligraphy. Each letter is crafted to ensure a cohesive flow.  This cool text font has a fun and playful vibe. Even so, Mindfully still maintains a wild side with its curved slated form.

3. Connoisseurs

The Connoisseurs design is a fantastic typeface from the artist, ThirtyPath. I am a huge fan of this artists fonts, they are all beautiful, and Connoisseurs is no exception. This wild typeface is perfect for bold headlines, dramatic effects over photos or a district choice as part of your brand or social media design.

Additionally, you get several ligatures and decorative marks and swashes all in vector format!

4. Stay Classy

Stay Classy is a great font that’s deceptively sweet but definitely steps outside of the lines with its sweeping strokes. This font from SoldType  is a delicate mix of “good girl gone bad.” Sorry for the ugly euphemism but it’s the only thing that comes to mind for me when I look at this font.

If you’re looking for a font that has a wild streak but still has your parent’s approval, this is your font. However, don’t be fooled, this typeface is anything but tame!

Stay Classy includes tons of ligatures to make sure you get the best flow and superior quality possible. This typeface is a great option for social media design and quotes.

5. Highlander

Highlander is a marker script font that is rough around the edges, quite literally and on purpose. This cool font has a great mood with its imperfect marker strokes and wild look. Just like the other fonts I’ve listed, it’s sensational. This typeface by Kavoon has one particular feature that makes it an even better text font.

Highlander has a set of splashes and strokes that lend perfectly to creating amazing designs for social media, your blog or whatever else you can fathom!

Talk about a moody font! Savage is unrestrained. I might call it an angry font. However we describe it, the font makes a statement no matter what context.

Overlay it on a background of fluffy blue clouds or a bloody nightmare scene. No matter how you use it, Savage will command attention. This font compels emotion. Make an impactful statement with this font.
